Do you sell gluten free Cheesecakes?

You bet we do!! Most of our cheesecakes can be adapted to be free from gluten. For specific requests contact us.  

Are any of your Cheesecakes vegan?

We're afraid not. All of our cheesecakes contain egg, butter and cream.

What about us vegetarians, can we eat your cheesecake?

You certainly can! All our cheesecakes are baked so we don't use any gelatin like that chilled dessert that often pretends to be cheesecake. 

How long will my Cheesecake keep?

Our Cheesecakes are made by hand with no added preservatives and when stored correctly will last 4 days from delivery. The good thing about cheesecakes is that the flavours mature as the cheesecake ages so it may very well taste better as time goes by.

Should I store my Cheesecake in the fridge?

Absolutely you should! Upon delivery you'll want to put the cheesecake straight in the fridge. For best results remove the cheesecake around 30 minutes before you plan to eat it. Just remember and share.

Hey how long will my Cheesecake last in the freezer?

 Any cheesecake bought from us will last up to 3 months in the freezer, Just be sure to cover it securely to avoid frostbite.

I want Cheesecake now. So how long will it take to defrost?

We're sorry but you'll have to be a little patient if your cheesecake has been frozen. Either pop it in the fridge overnight then leave it out at room temperature 1 to 2 hours or leave it out at room temperature for 4 to 5 hours. Remember good things come to those who wait.

Oi!!! My slices don't look as nice as yours do on your pictures, what's your secret to cutting them?

We've sliced a lot of cheesecakes in our time but we always use the same method. To start you'll need the following:-

a sharp knife, a jug, a damp cloth, hot water, oh and a cheesecake

Got it all? Good, now follow these simple steps:- 

Step 1

Fill your jug with the hot water and dip the knife into the water.

Step 2

Remove the knife from the water and wipe with the damp cloth.

Step 3

Using the knife slice through the cheesecake pulling the knife out of the side once completely through.

Step 4

Repeat the steps until satisfied you have enough slice.

Oh and the slicer gets first choice. That's the rules.

What if there is a problem with my order?

It’s very rare there will be any problems however, if there are any issues, we will contact you on the phone number or email address provided.

Ooops!! I’ve forgotten to tell you something about my order, what should I do?

Just get in touch by either filling out the contact form or email us at sales@hometowncheesecakes.com. We'll do our best to respond to you within normal working hours.

What's your order cut off time?



For "slices and bundles", orders made after 1400 hours on Thursday will not be processed will not be processed and dispatched until the following Thursday. For "whole cake" orders, these takes a minimum of two days due to the baking process so orders can not be processed after 2200 hours on the Tuesday prior to Thursday deliveries. If urgent or last minute beyond these deadlines please contact using the 'contact us' page and we will try our best to find a solution that suits your needs.

Can I pick a specific future date?

Kind of, in the coming months we hope to have this facility fully up and running. For now however, you can message us via our Facebook page, Instagram or email us and we'll see what we can do. Again, currently we can only guarantee delivery on Thursdays however all cakes purchase are guaranteed to remain fresh though to the Monday. For other date requests please contact us. 

Delivery Queries

Where do you deliver?

Currently we have the ability to deliver to the following postcode areas. DD1, DD2, DD3, DD4, DD5 (Broughty Ferry only), DD8 (Forfar only) and DD11 (Arbroath). We are working on a nation wide delivery system but there are still a few bugs to figure out first. 
Remember if you are outwith the delivery zones you can still find us at Farmers Markets within your area.

Okay, I've seen the pictures now I want to know when you deliver Cheesecakes?


For any whole cheesecake order our delivery window is between 9.00am and 2.00pm, Monday to Friday, and Thursdays between 17.00pm and 10.00pm. If we are able to we may deliver later.
We deliver our cheesecake slices every Thursday between 17.00pm and 10.00pm. Slices currently can't be delivered at any other time.
For a variety of reason we are unable to provide a more narrow delivery window. If you need a cheesecake delivered for a specific time, please contact us.
Above delivery times exclude Cheesecake Buffet Packages, Weddings and other events which will be organised by mutual consent. 

How much is shipping?

Delivery is free on Thursdays for our whole cheesecakes, cheesecake of the week and Three Free Thursday options. The standard shipping rate out with Thursday is £4.95. Currently we are offering free local delivery.

Do I need to be there to accept delivery?

At Hometown Cheesecakes we'll get your cheesecake to you safely. All you have to do is ensure a complete and correct address is supplied, along with a correct phone number for contact. We'll also need you to make sure there Is someone in to accept delivery at the address.
Hometown Cheesecakes cannot accept responsibility for late or missing deliveries due to insufficient or incorrect information supplied, or because there is no-one to accept delivery. If no-one is able to accept delivery, we will leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour/coworker. Sadly we will be unable to re-deliver as our products are made fresh for you.

What if I need to leave a note about delivery?

Requests or special requirements can be made during the checkout process. For example you might want to tell us 'Don't leave it with my mum she'll steal my cheesecake' or 'Hey guys can I get a fork with my cheesecake'.
